I find I disagree with the solution to every writing problem is writing. I think you need to get critiques and study the craft (through workshops / books) or you won't get anywhere.
I happen to totally agree with the "Love Triangles" post. Luckily for me, the only thing I've read in the last few years with a love triangle was the Twilight series.
They're all over the place in YA. I've read a lot of the books mentioned in the post, so I'm starting to get a little weary of seeing them. But... that doesn't guarantee I won't do one myself at some point. I just won't do one unless I know exactly why I'm doing it.

ReplyDeleteYeah, that's true. Though the majority of my writing problems are in the procrastination category, so it's pretty fitting for me.
